Concert Parking and Car Break-Ins in West Valley City
After a concert at what was then USANA Amphitheatre on August 1, 2019, police investigated a string of smash-and-grab break-ins, mostly on cars parked along 6055 West. A police lieutenant said at the time that drivers were better off in the venue's own lots, which West Valley officers patrolled. Park in a patrolled lot rather than on a side street for a concert.

Windows were shot out in more than 30 vehicles in one West Valley City neighborhood about twenty years ago, and police said it looked like vandals used BB guns, KSL reported. A 2022 KSL report said such claims fail unless the driver proves the government knew of the pothole and did not fix it within a reasonable time. Keep photos and repair receipts.
